Sonor 30th Anniversary Kit / NAMM Coverage

Steve Smith has been with Sonor for 30 years now - and it is worth celebrating. This is why Sonor has unveiled its 30th Anniversary Steve Smith kit.

The kit includes: 8x8, 10x8, 12x8, 14x14, and 16x16” drums with a 20x16” kick and two snares (14x5 ½ metal and 12x5” beech) in 9 ply beech, finished in Birdseye Amber satin. It looks lovely and comes complete with a MP3 player filled with 100 of Steve’s favorite tracks that he has played on.

NAMM 2008

NAMM, the International Music Products Association, just finished up its 2008 Winter show in Anaheim, CA. The show attracts manufacturers, distributors, retailers and artists involved with every kind of music product you can thing of - from instruments and music production hardware/software to publishing companies and beyond.

Record crowds explored the latest in new product offerings, networked with new and old friends, visited with celebrities and were surrounded by live music in every aisle. Attendees also had the opportunity to learn savvy business tactics at NAMM University sessions.

This year's show saw more than 80,000 registrants, with more than 1,559 companies renting space at the show.
