Steve Smith 30th Anniversary Tour (scroll down for video and

In 2008, Sonor drums commemorated 30
years with Steve Smith by building 100 Sonor Steve Smith 30th
Anniversary drum sets. Throughout the year, Steve travelled the
world on an ambitious tour for Sonor - conducting 47 clinics in
front of thousands of drummers in 17 countries!
Steve helped design the kit with
Sonor. It combined some of Steve's favorite features of Sonor drums
over the past 30 years with state-of-the-art modern developments
from Sonor engineers. Features include: Beech Wood shells, a heavy-weight metal
snare drum, slotted lugs, t-rods on the bass drum, felt strips on
the bass drum, TAR mounts, and many other custom and personal features.
All shells are hand-made by Sonor
craftsman in Germany. The shells are made of Beech Wood with a
Birdseye amber outer veneer and are constructed to make the drum kit
a versatile work of art.
